NOGALES, ARIZONA — U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement on Tuesday removed a Mexican national wanted for family violence in his home country, transferring him to Mexican authorities at the U.S.-Mexico border.
Juan Jasso-Botello, 44, was deported March 25 after being held at the Florence Detention Center. He was handed over to Mexican officials at the Dennis DeConcini Port of Entry in Nogales.

Jasso-Botello had entered the U.S. unlawfully near Newfield on Nov. 1, 2024, and was arrested the next day. His removal is part of ICE’s ongoing efforts to target foreign fugitives residing illegally in the United States.
“The removal of Juan Jasso demonstrates the collaborative, whole of government approach that ICE supports in protecting the citizens of the U.S.,” said John Cantu, field office director for ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations in Phoenix.
