Norton, Ohio — A local man is starting his summer with a six-figure boost after winning $100,000 on the Ohio Lottery’s $2,000,000 Cashword scratch-off game, officials announced Monday.

The winning ticket was purchased at Acme Fresh Market #16, located at 3200 Greenwich Road in Norton. The lucky player, identified only as William, claimed his prize Friday at the Ohio Lottery’s Akron/Canton regional office.

After mandatory state and federal tax withholdings totaling 28 percent, William will take home approximately $72,000.

$2,000,000 Cashword is a $30 scratch-off offering multiple prize tiers. As of May 5, six $100,000 prizes remain in the game, along with two top prizes of $2 million payable as annuities.

This win adds Acme Fresh Market #16 to the growing list of Ohio retailers delivering major lottery wins to players statewide.
