The Delaware State Police have arrested 36-year-old Larry Wilmer of Wilmington in connection with multiple commercial burglaries that took place over several months across New Castle County. Wilmer faces six felony counts of third-degree burglary, along with additional charges.
Beginning in December 2024, troopers responded to a series of break-ins at local businesses, including Urban Air Trampoline and Adventure Park in Newark, Domino’s Pizza in Middletown, and four establishments at The Shops at Limestone Hills. In each case, suspects pried open rear doors and stole cash or safes before fleeing.
Detectives used investigative methods to identify Wilmer as a suspect. In collaboration with law enforcement agencies in Maryland and Pennsylvania, they also linked him to similar burglary patterns in those states. Authorities are continuing to investigate and work to identify Wilmer’s alleged accomplices.
Wilmer was apprehended without incident on May 1 in Newark. During his arrest, police found approximately 14.7 grams of crack cocaine in his possession.
He was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 11 and is currently held at Howard R. Young Correctional Institution on $79,100 cash bond.

The burglaries followed a consistent pattern, with suspects targeting rear entry points and stealing cash and safes before fleeing, often by vehicle. Businesses affected include Tyler’s Bar and Grill, Daily Veg, Brew HaHa!, Café Pomodoro, and others.
Detectives from Delaware State Police Troop 2 are coordinating with regional agencies to trace the full scope of the multi-state burglary spree. Wilmer’s arrest is the first significant development in the investigation.
The suspect’s known use of a Ford sedan and a black minivan in the various crimes has been noted as a potential lead in identifying other individuals involved.
