ICE deports Honduran national wanted for child rape and pornography charges

by Breaking Local News Report

SAINT PAUL, Minn. — U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement removed a Honduran national wanted for child rape and pornography charges in his home country, the agency announced.

Felipe Nery Casco Murillo was deported on May 16 and handed over to authorities in Honduras. He is wanted there for charges including rape and preparation for use of aggravated child pornography, according to ICE.

Casco first encountered U.S. immigration officials on May 13, 2023, when he attempted to enter the country through the Hidalgo Port of Entry in Texas. U.S. Customs and Border Protection paroled him into the United States pending immigration proceedings and issued him a notice to appear.

On Nov. 5, 2024, ICE’s Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) unit received official notice from Honduras that Casco was a wanted fugitive. He was arrested by ICE ERO officers on Jan. 28, 2025.

An immigration judge with the Justice Department’s Executive Office for Immigration Review ordered Casco’s removal on April 17. He remained in ICE custody until his deportation earlier this month.

Removal followed official notice from Honduras

Casco was transported under ICE escort and transferred to Honduran law enforcement officials on May 16.

The agency did not release further details about the charges in Honduras or Casco’s activity while in the United States.
