PHILADELPHIA — Two men have been arrested and charged in connection with the 2022 shooting death of 17-year-old Theodore Crawford in the city’s East Falls section, while a third suspect remains at large, police said.

On April 16, 2022, at approximately 3:20 p.m., officers from the 39th District responded to a report of a person with a gun on the 3100 block of Berkeley Drive. When they arrived, police found Crawford and another male, age 18, inside a red Lexus, both suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
Crawford, of Hatfield, Pa., was unresponsive at the scene. He was transported to Albert Einstein Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead at 3:40 p.m. The second victim was taken to Temple University Hospital in stable condition.

Following an investigation by the Philadelphia Police Department’s Homicide Unit, three suspects were identified. Two of them—21-year-old Amir Williams of Glendale Street and 21-year-old Andre Saunders of Gilbert Street—have been arrested and charged with murder, attempted murder, and related offenses.
Third suspect still wanted in connection with fatal shooting
The third suspect, 22-year-old James Braswell, remains at large. His last known address is on the 2400 block of North 29th Street, according to police.
Authorities have not disclosed a motive for the shooting or the events leading up to the incident.
