Man Shot to Death on North 54th Street in West Philadelphia; No Arrests Made

Philadelphia, PA – The Philadelphia Police Department is investigating a fatal shooting that claimed the life of a man Monday afternoon in West Philadelphia.

Officers responded at approximately 5:18 p.m. to reports of a shooting near the intersection of North 54th Street and Arlington Street, where they found an adult male suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

The victim was transported by responding officers to Lankenau Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 5:36 p.m.

Homicide investigation underway

The crime scene remained secured Monday evening as investigators processed evidence and searched for clues.

Police have not released the victim’s identity, and no arrests have been announced.

Authorities also said no motive has been established as the investigation continues.
