Man attacked and robbed inside Bronx apartment building, police searching for two suspects

BRONX, N.Y. — A 55-year-old man was assaulted and robbed early last month after entering his apartment with two unidentified individuals in the South Bronx, according to police.

The incident occurred around 12:44 a.m. on Friday, June 6, inside a residential building near East 162nd Street and Courtlandt Avenue. Police said that after the man entered the building with the two suspects, they pushed him to the ground and punched him multiple times.

The suspects forcibly removed an unknown amount of cash and the victim’s medical card before fleeing on foot in an unknown direction. Authorities said the victim sustained minor injuries but was not hospitalized.

One of the suspects is described as a male with a dark complexion and black hair. He was last seen wearing a white t-shirt, gray shorts, black socks, black sandals, and carrying a black backpack.

The second suspect is described as a male with a light complexion and black hair. He was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, black sweatpants, black sneakers, and a black surgical mask.

Police have not released surveillance footage or images related to the case. No arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing.
