Honduran fugitive deported again after arrest in New York
PHILADELPHIA — A Honduran national wanted in his home country for aggravated femicide and other violent crimes has been deported from the United States for the third time, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement announced.
Femicide is the act of attacking a woman because of her gender.
Olvin Mauricio Martinez Coto was removed to Honduras on July 23 by ICE’s Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) Philadelphia. Honduran authorities have issued warrants for Martinez Coto’s arrest on charges of aggravated femicide, attempted homicide, and forcible home entry.
“Foreign fugitives will not find safe haven in the United States, we will make sure of it,” said ERO Philadelphia acting Field Office Director Brian McShane.
Martinez Coto originally entered the U.S. illegally at an unknown location and was issued an expedited removal order by Border Patrol on July 18, 2007. He was first deported by ERO San Antonio on July 30, 2007.
After being arrested again in 2019, Martinez Coto was deported a second time on March 22, 2019. He later reentered the U.S. without inspection or parole.
On July 1, 2025, ERO Long Island Fugitive Operations, Homeland Security Investigations, and the FBI arrested Martinez Coto in Westbury, New York. ERO New York then reinstated his prior removal order.
Martinez Coto is now in Honduran custody as authorities there pursue prosecution for multiple violent offenses.
