Bensalem, PA – A pair of suspected drug dealers were arrested in a sting operation that led police to seize marijuana, drug paraphernalia, and a firearm, authorities announced.
On Monday, Sept. 15, undercover officers from the Bensalem Township Police Special Investigations Unit arranged a purchase of two pounds of marijuana from 29-year-old Keehmon Herring of Philadelphia. The following day, Herring arrived at the agreed meeting spot in a black SUV driven by 25-year-old Zymir Randall of Glenolden, officials said.
Herring exited the vehicle carrying a black bag containing the marijuana while Randall acted as a lookout, police said. As Herring approached the undercover officer’s car, officers moved in and arrested him without incident.
Randall fled into a nearby business but was quickly apprehended with the keys to the SUV in his pocket. A search warrant for the SUV revealed a silver .380 caliber handgun, more marijuana, and additional drug paraphernalia.
Investigators later confirmed Randall was prohibited from possessing firearms and was on federal parole for a previous gun conviction.
Randall is facing charges including possession with intent to deliver, firearms violations, and narcotics offenses. He was arraigned on $1.5 million bail. Herring faces multiple drug charges and was arraigned on $300,000 bail. Both men are being held at the Bucks County Correctional Facility.
