Woodbridge, VA – A late-night shooting outside a movie theater at Stonebridge at Potomac Town Center left a 21-year-old man dead and another injured, Virginia police confirmed.
Officers were called to the 15200 block of Potomac Town Place just before 11 p.m. Thursday, where they found two men suffering from gunshot wounds. Investigators said Jasiya Ahmar Vaughn, 21, of Woodbridge, was shot multiple times outside the Alamo Drafthouse during a confrontation with another individual. He collapsed on the sidewalk, where officers and fire crews administered first aid, but he later died from his injuries.
An 18-year-old man also sustained a non-life threatening graze wound to his lower body during the incident. He was treated at the scene.
The suspect fled immediately after the shooting and has not been located. Detectives said the attack does not appear to be random and are continuing to investigate.
