BOSTON, MA – A traffic stop in Roxbury led to the arrest of a Rhode Island man after police discovered a loaded “ghost gun” hidden in his vehicle Saturday night.
The arrest occurred around 7:33 p.m. near the intersection of Blue Hill Avenue and Schuyler Street after officers with the Boston Police Youth Violence Strike Force pulled over a car displaying canceled Rhode Island license plates.
Police identified the driver as 44-year-old Sandley Pierre Louis of Providence, who was found to be unlicensed in both Massachusetts and Rhode Island.

Loaded firearm found hidden inside vehicle
During the investigation, officers located a P80 ghost gun—a privately made firearm without a serial number—loaded with one round in the chamber and twelve in the magazine. The weapon was secured and made safe at the scene.
Suspect faces multiple firearm and motor vehicle charges
Pierre Louis was arrested and charged with unlawful possession of a firearm (third offense), unlawful possession of a large-capacity feeding device, unlawful possession of ammunition, carrying a loaded firearm, operating a motor vehicle without a license, operating an unregistered and uninsured vehicle, and attaching plates.
He is expected to be arraigned in Roxbury District Court. The investigation remains ongoing.
