Delmont man charged in Route 22 DUI crash that left three injured
MURRYSVILLE, PA — A 63-year-old Delmont man is facing felony DUI-related charges after police say he rear-ended a vehicle at a red light while heavily intoxicated, sending three people to the hospital with serious injuries.
The crash occurred on July 18 at the intersection of Route 22 and Mellon Road, where investigators say Wynn Noll was traveling 57 mph in a 45 mph zone when his vehicle struck a car that was stopped at the traffic signal. According to Murrysville Police, all three victims suffered moderate to serious injuries, including concussions, broken bones, torn spinal ligaments, and a lacerated liver. Noll was also transported to a local hospital for treatment.
A search warrant executed on Noll’s blood revealed a blood alcohol content between .190 and .200 percent — more than twice the legal limit. Investigators also accessed data from Noll’s vehicle, confirming the speed at the moment of impact.
Noll is now facing multiple charges, including:
- Aggravated assault by vehicle while driving under the influence
