Rockville man caught in massive drug and gun bust after months-long probe
GAITHERSBURG, MD — A quiet Wednesday morning erupted into a major law enforcement operation when officers converged on multiple Rockville locations, arresting 33-year-old Elijah Bell and uncovering a stockpile of drugs, guns, and cash following a months-long investigation.
The Montgomery County Department of Police 4th District Community Action Team, working with the Special Investigations Division, executed several search warrants that led to the discovery of 2,726 grams of cocaine, nearly 10 pounds of cannabis, two stolen handguns, and about $10,000 in cash. The seizure capped off an extensive probe into Bell’s alleged drug distribution network operating in the Rockville area.
Detectives later confirmed that Bell was legally barred from possessing firearms due to previous convictions. Both handguns found in his possession had been reported stolen in prior cases, deepening the scope of the investigation.

Bell now faces multiple charges, including possession of a controlled dangerous substance with intent to distribute, illegal possession of firearms, and possession of a controlled substance not cannabis. He was taken to the Montgomery County Central Processing Unit and is being held without bond as the investigation continues.
