BROOKLYN, N.Y. – A 13-year-old boy was hospitalized Sunday after being stabbed twice on a street corner in East New York, police said.
The attacker fled the scene in a white vehicle before officers arrived.
The teen was taken to Brookdale University Hospital and listed in stable condition.

Attack at East New York intersection
The incident occurred Sunday afternoon near Jerome Street and Wortman Avenue, according to police. Investigators said the 13-year-old victim was standing on the corner when a man approached him and, without apparent warning, stabbed him twice in the torso.
The assailant then ran to a white vehicle and fled in an unknown direction, police said.
Victim expected to recover
EMS units arrived at the scene and transported the teenager to Brookdale University Hospital and Medical Center, where he was treated for non-life-threatening injuries and remained in stable condition. Detectives are working to determine a motive for the attack and whether the victim knew his assailant.
Suspect description and investigation
The suspect is described as a male with a medium complexion and slim build. He was last seen wearing a white and blue jacket, a red hooded sweatshirt, red sweatpants, and white sneakers.
Police appeal for information
