Masked suspects target cars in Manchester Township neighborhood crime spree

MANCHESTER TOWNSHIP, N.J. – A pair of masked suspects are being sought after a string of vehicle burglaries and attempted break-ins rattled a quiet neighborhood Monday evening.

Authorities said the crimes occurred between 6:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. in the Pine Lake Park section, where several residents reported suspicious activity.

Investigators believe the suspects were working with a driver circling the area in a silver sedan, possibly a newer Honda Accord with dark rims.

Key Points

  • A series of vehicle burglaries occurred Monday evening in the Pine Lake Park area.
  • The suspects wore masks and were seen exiting a silver sedan to check for unlocked cars.
  • Police are urging residents to secure vehicles and report any suspicious activity.

Suspects caught on video checking for unlocked cars

Police said surveillance footage shows the suspect vehicle slowly driving through the neighborhood while two individuals exited to pull on door handles of parked cars. The pair appeared to be targeting vehicles left unlocked, quickly moving between driveways before returning to the waiting sedan.

Although the suspects’ faces were fully covered, investigators are working to enhance the footage and identify distinctive details about the vehicle and its occupants.

Police urge vigilance as investigation continues

Manchester Township Police reminded residents to remove valuables from their vehicles, lock doors, and remain alert to unusual behavior in their neighborhoods. Officers are canvassing the area for additional video evidence that could lead to the suspects’ identities.

Anyone with information or footage of the suspect vehicle is urged to contact the Manchester Township Police Department at 732-657-6111.
