PHILADELPHIA, PA – A man was injured Sunday night when his vehicle was struck by gunfire in West Philadelphia, police said.
The shooting occurred around 10:38 p.m. on the 4100 block of Warren Street.
Officers from the 16th District responded to reports of shots fired as the victim arrived at the district headquarters in a car that had been hit multiple times.
Victim grazed in upper chest, listed in stable condition
Police said the man suffered a graze wound to the right side of his upper chest. Officers immediately transported him to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center, where he was listed in stable condition.
Investigators recovered the victim’s bullet-damaged vehicle and are working to determine where the shooting began and what led to the gunfire.
No arrests or motive identified
As of Monday, police said no suspects had been taken into custody and no motive had been established. Detectives from the 16th District are reviewing nearby surveillance footage and interviewing witnesses as the investigation continues.
