TOMS RIVER, NJ – Youth football teams from across the East Coast are converging in Ocean County this weekend for the Big East Region American Youth Football and Cheer Championships at Toms River High School East.
The two-day event features matchups between regional champions representing Maryland, New York, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey in multiple age divisions.
Games began Saturday morning and continue through Sunday afternoon at 1225 Raider Way, with an admission fee of $10.

Saturday’s highlights feature NJAYF and CBL MD matchups
Saturday’s schedule opened with the City Life Raptors (CBL MD) taking on Brotherly Love Elite (PA Elite) in the 6U Division 2 bracket.
Later games included Red Bank Buccaneers (NJAYF) vs. City Life Raptors in 9U, River Plaza Chargers (NJAYF) vs. Brooklyn Bombers (BTS NY) in 10U, and Jackson Jaguars (NJAYF) vs. Long Island Knights (BTS NY) in 11U.
The Marlboro Mustangs (NJAYF) faced Westchester Untouchables (Metro North NY) in the 12U bracket, while the Dorchester Vikings (Bayside MD) closed out the day against the same New York powerhouse in 13U.
Sunday brings PA, NY, and MD powerhouses to the field
Sunday’s lineup features the Blackhawks AA (PA Elite) battling Staten Island Hurricanes (BTS NY) in the 7U Division 1 championship at 9 a.m.
Other games include Peppermill Pirates (CBL MD) vs. RMG Elite (Dynasty NY) in 8U, Staten Island Hurricanes vs. Sturgis Hornets (PA Elite) in 10U, and Brooklyn Chiefs (BTS NY) vs. Old Town Gators (MMU MD) in 11U.
The weekend concludes with Harlem Jets (BTS NY) facing Brotherly Love Elite (PA Elite) for the 12U Division 2 title.
Organizers said the championship weekend showcases some of the region’s best youth football talent, drawing families and fans from several states for the annual postseason event.
