Pasadena man arrested on warrants after drug transaction observed, police say

PASADENA, MD – A 33-year-old Pasadena man was arrested Tuesday afternoon after detectives witnessed what appeared to be a hand-to-hand drug transaction in the Eastern District, authorities said.

Anne Arundel County Police reported that detectives from the Eastern District Strategic Patrol Team were patrolling near Outing Avenue and 229th Street around 12:17 p.m. on November 25 when they observed the exchange between a male passenger in a Jeep and a female pedestrian.

Officers stopped both individuals and determined the woman was in possession of controlled pills that had just been distributed by the male suspect.

Suspect found with additional narcotics, taken into custody

A further search of the vehicle uncovered additional pills, and detectives confirmed that the male suspect—identified as 33-year-old Michael Anthony Carter of Pasadena—had two active arrest warrants in Anne Arundel County.

Carter was taken into custody without incident.

Female cited at scene, investigation ongoing

The female pedestrian was cited on scene for possession of a controlled substance.

Police said the investigation remains active and additional charges may follow pending lab analysis of the recovered pills.
