MANHATTAN, NY – Police are investigating a violent carjacking in Greenwich Village after a man was forced out of his vehicle by three suspects, one of whom brandished a machete, authorities said.
The incident occurred around 4:56 a.m. on November 19 in front of 232 West 11th Street.
According to police, a 27-year-old man was sitting inside his parked Honda CR-V when two unidentified men approached and forced him from the vehicle. Moments later, a third man appeared and displayed a machete before two of the suspects drove off in the victim’s vehicle.


The third suspect fled the scene on foot eastbound on West 11th Street. No injuries were reported.
Suspects sought by NYPD
Investigators described all three suspects as males with light complexions.
The man who displayed the machete was last seen wearing a gray jacket, ripped blue jeans, and white sneakers. The suspect who ran from the scene was last seen wearing dark clothing with white and blue Nike sneakers.
