STAFFORD TOWNSHIP, NJ – The Stafford Township Volunteer Fire Company announced that Santa’s much-anticipated neighborhood visit has been postponed Friday night due to dangerous weather conditions sweeping through the area.
The decision was made in the interest of safety for Santa and his volunteer escort crew.
Officials said worsening snow and slick roads made travel unsafe for the holiday convoy, which typically rides through town on decorated fire trucks.
The fire company said it will monitor weather and road conditions through the afternoon and share an update once a new date is confirmed.

Crews are urging residents to stay off the roads where possible and to keep watch for updates on social media. The department reminded residents that safety comes first, even during one of the township’s most cherished seasonal events.
