Stolen car bust in Seaford leads to arrest of two suspects on drug charges

Seaford, DE – A stolen car stop in Seaford Tuesday night led Delaware State Police to arrest two suspects now facing felony drug and property charges after troopers uncovered heroin, crack cocaine, and drug paraphernalia during the traffic stop.

Around 8:15 p.m. on December 16, a trooper from Delaware State Police Troop 5 observed a 2009 Lincoln MKS driving along Concord Road. A check of the vehicle revealed it had been reported stolen by the Salisbury Police Department.

The vehicle was stopped without incident, and the two occupants — 53-year-old Lisa Savage of Salisbury, Maryland, and 47-year-old Lavarr Holbrook of Seaford, Delaware — were taken into custody.

During a search of the vehicle and individuals, troopers recovered drug paraphernalia linked to Savage. Holbrook was found to be in possession of approximately 1.53 grams of heroin and 0.76 grams of crack cocaine, concealed on his person.

Savage was charged with felony receiving stolen property over $1,500, possession of drug paraphernalia not related to marijuana, and driving without a valid license. She was arraigned at Justice of the Peace Court 7 and committed to Sussex Correctional Institution on a $3,200 cash bond.

Holbrook was charged with felony possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, unlawful possession of a controlled or counterfeit substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia not related to marijuana. He was arraigned and held at Sussex Correctional Institution on a $4,400 cash bond.

Both suspects remain in custody as the investigation continues.
