Toms River, NJ – A major house fire broke out Sunday afternoon on Keats Avenue, drawing a large response from all Toms River mainland fire companies along with Island Heights Fire Department.

Fire crews arrived to find heavy flames pouring from three sides of the home. According to officials, firefighters launched an aggressive interior and exterior attack to contain the blaze, which had already engulfed much of the structure. Despite the advanced fire conditions, crews were able to bring the blaze under control in under 30 minutes.

Multiple departments, including Toms River Fire Companies 25 and 26, East Dover Fire Company 28, Silverton Fire Company 29, Pleasant Plains Fire Company 30, and Island Heights Volunteer Fire Company 53, responded to the scene.

No injuries were immediately reported, and the cause of the fire remains under investigation by local fire marshals.
