EAST BRUNSWICK, N.J. – A Jackson man arrested earlier this month as part of a multi-agency child luring investigation known as “Operation Bad Santa” has been released from custody following his initial booking, according to public inmate records.

Jorge A. Mora, 52, was arrested by East Brunswick police on December 11 and charged with multiple offenses, including luring or enticing a child by various means under statute 2C:13-6A and two counts of criminal attempt under statute 2C:5-1A(1). The charges stem from an undercover investigation led by the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office Internet Crimes Against Children Unit that targeted suspects allegedly attempting to meet minors for sexual activity through online communications.

JACKSON TOWNSHIP, NJ – A Jackson township councilman in New Jersey who has gained a large following on Instagram and TikTok over his viral videos criticizing township officials and local government continues to hide his past from the public after a 2020 accusation against him came to light earlier this year during his campaign.


According to booking records, Mora was taken into custody at 8:59 p.m. on December 11 and released at 3:44 p.m. the following day. He was listed as having no bond and remains under the jurisdiction of Middlesex County courts, with all charges pending.

Authorities said Mora, a non-U.S. citizen, was one of twelve men arrested during the six-day operation conducted from December 8 through December 15, which involved federal, state, and local law enforcement partners.

Mora’s case remains active in Middlesex County, and no trial date has yet been scheduled.
