WOODBRIDGE, Va. – The Prince William County Police Department released its daily incident report Friday, detailing a series of investigations and one major arrest stemming from recent criminal activity across the county.
Authorities said officers responded to a report of an armed robbery around 1:16 p.m. on December 24 in the area of Balls Ford Road and Stream Walk Lane in Manassas. A 59-year-old man told police he was confronted by two men and a woman in a shopping center parking lot. One suspect was armed with both a handgun and a knife and allegedly forced the victim into his vehicle, where he was assaulted and robbed of his wallet. The suspects — described as two Hispanic men in their early 20s and a Hispanic woman in her late teens — fled before officers arrived. The victim sustained minor injuries.
On December 20, officers were called to the Luxury Gold & Diamond kiosk inside Potomac Mills Mall in Woodbridge for a commercial burglary. Investigators said several pieces of jewelry were stolen overnight, and no suspect information was immediately available.
In a separate case, police are investigating vandalism at the Express VRE parking garage on Express Drive in Woodbridge after officers discovered a swastika and other symbols spray-painted on support pillars around 6:13 p.m. Christmas evening. No suspects have been identified.
Detectives also announced the arrest of a Bristow man in connection with a child pornography investigation. Members of the department’s Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force executed a search warrant December 23 at a home on Benton Lake Road. Investigators said the suspect, identified as 34-year-old Bryan Barahona-Peraza, was taken into custody without incident after evidence revealed he had been soliciting minors online.
Barahona-Peraza is charged with production of child pornography, use of a communication system to create child pornography, and solicitation of sexual acts. He is being held without bond pending a court date.
