ABERDEEN TOWNSHIP, N.J. – With temperatures dropping and heavy snow expected overnight, Aberdeen Township officials announced that Town Hall will open as a public warming station for anyone in need of shelter during the storm.

The warming center, located at 1 Aberdeen Square, will remain open through the night to provide residents with a safe, warm environment as hazardous winter conditions develop across Monmouth County. Township officials said the space is available to all individuals seeking refuge from the storm.

Residents experiencing power outages are advised to report them directly to Jersey Central Power & Light by calling 1-888-544-4877 or visiting firstenergycorp.com. Authorities reminded residents not to call 911 for power outages unless there is an immediate emergency.

For non-emergency assistance, residents can contact the Aberdeen Township Police Department at 732-566-2054.

Officials also encouraged residents to sign up for real-time township alerts by texting ABERDEEN to 888777 or registering at nixle.com for updates on weather conditions, closures, and emergency information.
