Bronx shooting leaves one dead and teen wounded in Saturday night gunfire

BRONX, NY – A deadly shooting on Saturday evening left one man dead and a 14-year-old boy wounded after gunfire erupted inside a home on Adee Avenue, police said. Officers were called to 1219 Adee Avenue around 6:25 p.m. following reports of shots fired. Inside, they found an unidentified man suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest. Nearby, at 2909 Laconia Avenue, officers discovered a teenage boy who had been shot in the left arm.

Emergency responders rushed the wounded man to NYC Health and Hospitals/Jacobi, where he was listed in critical condition before being pronounced dead. The teen was transported by officers in a marked patrol vehicle to the same hospital and was reported to be in stable condition.

The circumstances leading up to the shooting were not immediately clear, and police have not released the identity of the deceased. Detectives from the 49th Precinct are investigating the incident, and no arrests have been made.
