Trio of masked robbers storm Franklin Avenue store and assault workers before fleeing with cash

BROOKLYN, NY – Three unidentified individuals carried out a violent robbery Tuesday evening at a commercial establishment on Franklin Avenue, forcing two employees into an office and fleeing with cash and merchandise.

The incident occurred around 6 p.m. at 311 Franklin Avenue, where the suspects entered the store and approached a 21-year-old male and a 17-year-old male employee. The individuals then went behind the counter, forced both workers into a private office, and damaged their cellphones before assaulting them. One of the suspects struck the 21-year-old victim in the face with a firearm, police said.

The trio removed merchandise, a checkbook, and approximately $2,600 from the safe and cash register before running northbound on Franklin Avenue toward an unknown location. The victims suffered pain and bruising but were not hospitalized.

The first suspect is described as a male with a dark complexion who was last seen wearing a multicolored sweater, gray sweatpants, blue gloves, and black sneakers. The second suspect, also described as having a dark complexion, was last seen wearing a black jacket, a blue sweater, gray sweatpants, and gloves. The third suspect, described as having a light complexion, was wearing a black sweater, gray sweatpants, a black ski mask, and blue gloves.

No arrests have been made, and the investigation remains ongoing.
