Gun pulled from backpack before rapid shots fired in Bronx street incident

BRONX, N.Y. — A shocking moment unfolded on a Bronx street when a man pulled a gun from another person’s backpack and fired multiple rounds before both suspects disappeared.

The incident happened around 9:45 p.m. on March 14 outside 3975 White Plains Road.

Authorities say one individual removed the firearm from a companion’s bag, then opened fire several times in front of the location.

Both individuals fled the scene immediately after the gunfire.

Police have not reported any injuries at this time.

Investigators are now working to identify the suspects and determine what led up to the shooting.
