A single-vehicle crash in Lacey Township on Wednesday morning ended in a fatality after a car left the roadway and struck a tree in a residential area of Lanoka Harbor. LACEY TOWNSHIP, NJ – The Lacey Township Police Department reported that officers responded to a motor vehicle crash on Wednesday, April 8, in the area of Lake Barnegat Drive North and Haines Street. According to preliminary findings, the vehicle traveled off the roadway, broke through a fence, and collided with a tree.

The driver was pronounced dead at the scene. No additional occupants or injuries were reported in the initial release.

Crash under investigation
