MYRTLE BEACH, SC — A 68-year-old man faces multiple felony charges after a stabbing along South Ocean Boulevard left one person hospitalized and another treated at the scene, Myrtle Beach Police Department officials said Monday.
Jeffrey Alonzo Keitt, of Myrtle Beach, has been charged with two counts of assault and battery of a high and aggravated nature and possession of a weapon during a violent crime, according to the department.
Altercation escalated into stabbing, police say
Officers responded around the 1004 block of South Ocean Boulevard on April 20, 2026, after receiving a report of a stabbing, Myrtle Beach Police said in a public update.
Investigators determined that a verbal altercation involving Keitt, a woman, and at least one victim escalated before the suspect allegedly produced a knife.
Police said the suspect stabbed one adult male victim in the leg during the confrontation.
Emergency responders transported that victim to a local hospital for treatment, while a second victim was evaluated at the scene by EMS.
Charges filed as investigation continues
Keitt was taken into custody and formally charged following the initial investigation, according to Myrtle Beach Police.
