Woman Charged for Playing Pokemon Go During Global COVID-19 Pandemic

BAY HEAD, NJ – A Toms River woman picked the wrong time and wrong town to start up a game of Pokemon Go, according to New Jersey Attorney General Gurbir Grewal.  The Toms River resident, according to police was pulled over for operating an unregistered vehicle, caught while driving around the beachfront community playing Pokemon Go…people still do that?

Renee F. Perrine, 49, of Toms River, was charged on April 18, by the Bay Head Police with violating the emergency orders and operating an unregistered vehicle. When she was stopped for operating an unregistered vehicle, she said she was driving around playing Pokemon Go.
