Second woman charged with assault after 33-year-old victim was shot on North Hilton Street
BALTIMORE, MD – A dispute on a Northwest Baltimore street ended with a 33-year-old woman shot and two women under arrest, including a 31-year-old Baltimore woman now facing attempted first-degree murder, burglary and multiple handgun charges, police said.
Baltimore Police identified the attempted murder suspect as Linay Wilkes, 31, of Baltimore.
The shooting occurred at approximately 11:08 p.m. Tuesday in the 1600 block of North Hilton Street.
Officers responding to a report of gunfire found a 33-year-old woman suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.
Police described the injury as non-life-threatening.
The woman was transported to an area hospital for treatment.
Investigators said the shooting followed a dispute but did not disclose what allegedly prompted the confrontation or provide additional details about the relationship between those involved.
Wilkes was identified as a suspect in connection with the shooting and taken into custody at the scene, according to police.
She was transported to the Central Booking Intake Facility.

Authorities also arrested a second 31-year-old woman for her alleged involvement in the incident.
