Police are searching for two suspects accused of attacking a 41-year-old man and stealing his backpack at the Newkirk Avenue subway station in Brooklyn.

The NYPD is asking for the public’s help in identifying two individuals wanted in connection with a robbery at the Newkirk Avenue subway station. Investigators said the incident occurred at about 4 a.m. on Sunday, June 14, on the southbound Q train platform.

According to police, a 41-year-old man was standing on the platform when he was approached by two unidentified individuals. The pair allegedly punched the victim multiple times before taking his backpack and fleeing on foot.

The robbery took place within the confines of the NYPD’s 70th Precinct and Transit District 34. Authorities said the suspects ran to parts unknown after the attack.

The victim’s condition was not immediately released. Police have not provided descriptions of the suspects or announced any arrests in the case.
