As New Yorkers endured another day of extreme summer heat, the NYPD issued a wave of Crime Stoppers alerts seeking suspects in robberies, assaults, subway attacks and gun-related incidents across the city.

New York, NY – As temperatures climbed across New York City this week, the NYPD released a series of Crime Stoppers bulletins highlighting a string of violent crimes and robberies that remain under investigation. The incidents, spanning multiple boroughs and neighborhoods, include armed robberies, subway assaults, reckless endangerment involving a firearm, and attacks on both adults and teenagers.

Authorities are asking the public to help identify numerous suspects connected to crimes reported throughout June and early July. Many of the investigations involve surveillance images released by the NYPD in hopes that someone will recognize those responsible.

Armed robberies and violent assaults under investigation

Among the most serious cases is an armed robbery reported Monday night at Secret Society, a nightclub at 1177 Broadway. According to investigators, seven unidentified individuals entered the business at approximately 10:04 p.m., displayed firearms, and robbed multiple patrons of cash, jewelry, and cellphones before fleeing.

In another violent robbery, a 14-year-old boy was attacked outside 2664 Grand Concourse on June 24. Police said a group of unidentified males held the teenager against a wall while another suspect displayed a knife, slashed the victim’s arms, and stole his cellphone.

The NYPD is also searching for suspects involved in a gang assault near Needham Avenue and Fish Avenue on June 21. Investigators said six individuals allegedly punched and kicked a 25-year-old man, with one suspect striking him using a metal pipe while another displayed a firearm during the attack.

Subway violence remains a concern

Several of the Crime Stoppers alerts involve incidents inside the city’s subway system.

Police are searching for a suspect accused of stabbing a 31-year-old woman aboard a northbound E train at the 74 Street–Roosevelt Avenue station on June 29. Investigators said the assault followed a verbal dispute before the suspect fled the station and boarded an MTA Q53 bus.

Another case occurred at the Shepherd Avenue subway station on June 9, where police said an unidentified individual punched a 69-year-old man in the right eye following an argument.

The NYPD is also investigating a forcible touching incident reported at the 42 Street–Times Square Q train station during the early morning hours of June 27. Investigators said a 25-year-old woman was approached from behind while exiting the station and was inappropriately touched before the suspect fled.

Gun violence and retail robbery also reported

Detectives continue searching for the individual wanted in a reckless endangerment investigation after someone allegedly displayed and attempted to fire a handgun toward a group of people near 320 East 156th Street shortly after 1 a.m. on June 22. Police have not announced any arrests in the case.

In the Bronx, investigators are also looking for a suspect accused of threatening a store employee after attempting to steal approximately $148 worth of ice cream from a business at 1081 Ogden Avenue on Wednesday evening. Police said the suspect allegedly threatened the employee with bodily harm before escaping on foot.
