New Jersey Acme store sells massive $3 million Mega Millions prize

A Mega Millions ticket sold in Cape May County turned a $1 million prize into $3 million after receiving a 3X multiplier, according to the New Jersey Lottery.

NORTH WILDWOOD, N.J. — A New Jersey Lottery player is holding a $3 million Mega Millions winning ticket after matching four white balls and the Mega Ball in Tuesday night’s drawing.

The winning ticket was sold at Acme #2838, 2400 Delaware Ave. in North Wildwood.

The winning numbers were 2, 4, 10, 48 and 56. The Mega Ball was 22.

The ticket matched five numbers, including the Mega Ball, for a standard $1 million prize. Because it received a random 3X multiplier, the prize increased to $3 million.

The multiplier is part of a Mega Millions enhancement introduced in April, giving players a random multiplier on eligible non-jackpot prizes.

No ticket matched all six numbers to win the jackpot.

The Mega Millions jackpot has rolled to an estimated $672 million for Friday night’s drawing.
