Philadelphia, PA — Two men were shot early Sunday morning in North Philadelphia, leaving one victim critically injured, according to the Philadelphia Police Department.
Officers from the 39th District responded at approximately 3:08 a.m. to the 4400 block of North Cleveland Street for reports of a person with a gun and a man who had been shot.
When officers arrived, they found an unidentified adult man suffering from a gunshot wound to the left side of his body.
Victims transported to Temple University Hospital
Police immediately transported the victim to Temple University Hospital, where he remains in critical condition.
A short time later, a 37-year-old man arrived at the same hospital in a private vehicle with a gunshot wound to his left foot. He was listed in stable condition, police said.
Investigation remains active
Responding officers secured a crime scene at the intersection of North Cleveland Street and West Cayuga Street, where investigators collected evidence.
Police have not identified a suspect or established a motive for the shooting. The Philadelphia Police Department’s Shooting Investigation Group is leading the ongoing investigation.
