Police search for suspect who fled with cash and tobacco

SEVERN, Md. — Police are searching for a man accused of robbing a Royal Farms convenience store at knifepoint early Monday before escaping on foot with cash and tobacco products.

According to the Anne Arundel County Police Department, officers responded at approximately 2:15 a.m. Aug. 10 to the Royal Farms in the 7800 block of Telegraph Road.

Investigators said the suspect entered the store armed with a knife and demanded money and tobacco products.

Police said the suspect gathered tobacco products before fleeing the business on foot.

No injuries were reported.

The suspect was described as a White male wearing a black long-sleeved shirt, black pants, gray shoes and a gray towel or T-shirt covering his face.

Detectives assigned to the Regional Crimes Unit are investigating.
