WALL TOWNSHIP, N.J. – Wall Township Police made a series of arrests between Aug. 3 and Aug. 9, including a traffic stop that resulted in weapons charges involving an unserialized firearm and multiple arrests tied to drug possession, according to the department’s weekly arrest blotter.
One of the week’s most significant cases unfolded Monday when officers stopped a vehicle on State Highway 138. Patrolman Trent Powers arrested Jarrone Perry, 47, of Jackson, and Christopher Ojeda, 18, of Toms River.
Police charged both men with possession of an unserialized firearm, possession of hollow-point ammunition, possession of an assault firearm, unlawful possession of a rifle and unlawful possession of a loaded firearm. Perry also was charged under New Jersey’s certain persons not to have weapons law and on an outstanding warrant issued by the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office. Both were lodged in the Monmouth County Correctional Institution.
Earlier that day, Patrolman Joshua Wheeler arrested Tyrone Burr, 59, of Wall, Leroy Marshall, 43, of Wall, and Dalvin Andrews, 33, of Long Branch after an investigation at the Express Inn on State Highway 33/34. Authorities charged the trio with possession of methamphetamine, crack cocaine, heroin and drug paraphernalia. Burr was jailed while Marshall and Andrews were released on summonses.
Santiago Torres-Becerril, 23, was booked into the Ocean County Jail after being committed on charges of criminal mischief and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose. Jail records also show an associated motor vehicle charge for operating a vehicle without insurance. Torres-Becerril was committed on Aug. 8 and remains held on a no-bail criminal case with a separate $1,500 cash bond listed in the jail records.

Multiple DWI arrests recorded
The department also reported six driving while intoxicated arrests during the week.
Those arrested on DWI charges included Angela Symme Gilbert, 59, of Maryland; Emmanuel Perez-Aguilar, 20, of Howell; Franklin Arevalo-Garcia, 27, of Long Branch; Robert Vaughn, 51, of Brick; Lisa Swanson, 39, of Little Silver; Thomas Singer, 28, of Millburn; and John Sottiriou, 31, of Brick.
Gilbert also faces charges of resisting arrest, aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer, obstruction and hindering following a traffic stop on Interstate 195.
Shoplifting and warrant arrests
Other arrests included Ahdaizjah Bellamy, 30, of Wall, who was charged with shoplifting from the Target store on State Highway 35.
Police also took several individuals into custody on outstanding warrants, including Ashley Allen of Pennsylvania, Daniela Voltaggio of Wall, Napoleon Sarmiento Miranda of Elizabeth, Mark Jarema of Howell and Yolanda Hodges of Irvington.
All criminal charges are accusations, and the defendants are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in court.
