Sayreville day care aide charged with sexually abusing 4 children

SAYREVILLE, NJ – A man who worked at a Sayreville daycare facility and charged with three counts of child abuse is now facing a fourth charge of sexual abuse and child endangerment after a fourth victim was identified. Police are still investigating this horrific story and more charges could be pending if other victims are found.

Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone and Chief John Zebrowski of the Sayreville Police Department made the announcement on Monday of the additional charges.

Kyle Finn, 20, of Sayreville, an aide at the Superhero Schoolhouse Day Care in the Parlin section of Sayreville, was charged yesterday with first-degree aggravated sexual assault, second-degree sexual assault, and second-degree endangering the welfare of another child. Finn had been arrested and charged late last week for abusing and endangering three other children.

The school’s Facebook page has been taken offline.

Also yesterday, Charmaine Larkin, 44, of South River, the day care director, was processed and released on a charge of failure to report child abuse, a disorderly persons offense.

Finn and Larkin were charged following an investigation by Detective Matthew Kenny of the Sayreville Police Department and Detective Suzanne Kowalski of the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office that determined the four children were sexually abused at the daycare.

Finn is being held at the Middlesex County Adult Corrections Center pending a Detention Hearing in Superior Court.
