New Jersey’s Batsto Village was once a symbol of colonial American industry

Batsto Village was once a symbol of American greatness as one of the leading producers of bog iron, made out of bog ore. The village of Batsto was a major hub of industry for nearly one hundred years. Batsto was an integral part of arming the American army during the country’s war of independence.
