One of the sworn enemies of the Democrat party, Republican Congresswoman Lauren Boebert has had a conspiracy theorists formal complaint against her dropped.
Representative Lauren Boebert (CO-03) was cleared by the House Committee on Ethics from Rep. Pramila Jayapal’s (WA-07) baseless and partisan ethics complaint.
“As you know, on March 10, 2021, the Committee on Ethics (Committee) received information offered as a complaint naming you as a respondent. Pursuant to House Rule XI, clause 3(k)(2) and Committee Rule 16(d), the Committee voted on a motion to establish an investigative subcommittee and forward the complaint to that subcommittee for its consideration. In accord with Committee Rule 26(k), we hereby notify you that the motion failed, and an investigative subcommittee was not established,” the committee wrote. “Because Committee Rule 16 provides for no specific further action, the Committee will not further review the complaint. It is not our intention to release this letter publicly unless you make public statements regarding this matter that are inconsistent with the spirit and purpose of this letter.”
The complaint was lodged against Boebert by Washington Democrat Congresswoman Pramila Jayapal, claiming Boebert was involved in the January 6th uprising at the U.S. Capitol.
“I would love to see how many taxpayer dollars Rep. Jayapal wasted on this ridiculous ethics complaint rehashing leftist media talking points and offering no real substance,” Boebert responded. “She represents the worst of the entrenched swamp creatures who waste taxpayer money on partisan crusades and endless investigations. Luckily, the House Committee on Ethics saw through Rep. Jayapal’s posturing and dismissed her ethics complaint.”
Rep. Jayapal, Boebert says, abused the formal ethics investigation process to advance false, politically motivated attacks against Rep. Boebert. On April 16, 2021, Rep. Boebert prepared a thorough response for the House Committee on Ethics with documented proof that Rep. Jayapal’s complaint was nothing more than baseless partisan rhetoric.
After considering the evidence, the House Committee on Ethics ruled that there was no basis to investigate the complaint any further, and informed Rep. Boebert on June 11, 2021 that there would be no further investigations on this matter.
