ELK GROVE, CA – Over the weekend there was an unpermitted car meet that took place in Elk Grove. To ensure our community’s safety, we partnered with the California Highway Patrol, the Citrus Heights Police Department, and the Sacramento Police Department to address any illegal sideshow activity or vehicle code violations. This directed enforcement led to 97 vehicle stops, 50 vehicle citations, 16 towed vehicles, and 7 arrests. Sideshow activity can affect the communities they are in by impeding traffic, disrupting businesses, and at worse causing accidents. A huge thank you to the partnering agencies who assisted with this operation.
