JACKSON, NJ – If you’re looking for a reliable gas station that you know will always be among the cheapest in the Ocean County and Northern Monmouth County area, look no further than 19 Petroluem on Whitesville Road, just north of the Toms River border.
The station usually has the cheapest prices in town, but right now, it boasts the cheapest prices in Ocean County according to GasBuddy, a nationwide gas price index website.
On Tuesday, As most stations hovered in the $4.09 to $4.19 price range, 19 Petroleum was selling regular for $4.09.
Also, on Tuesday gas prices across the state dipped from highs of around $4.49 per gallon and settled back in the $4.19-$4.29 range statewide.
Most stations at the Jersey Shore were under $4.20, according to GasBuddy. Statewide deals could be found at the Hazlet Costco where regular was selling for $3.95 per gallon and several other stations where prices dipped once again below the $4 mark.

On the other end of the spectrum, two Lakewood gas stations, across the street from each other were competing for Ocean County’s most expensive gas prices.
The Route 9 Exxon at the intersection of Countyline Road was selling regular for $4.79 per gallon. Across the street, Shell had undercut them, selling unleaded for $4.55 per gallon.
