Man Stabbed Four Times During Argument With Stranger

UTICA, NY – A Utica man arrived at St. Luke’s Hospital with four stab wounds to his torso and face after being stabbed by a stranger at a corner store located on John Street and Blandina Street, police reported today.

According to the Utica Police Department, on Tuesday, at approximately10:10PM officers were dispatched to St. Luke’s Hospital regarding a male stab victim who had self-transported there.

“It was reported that the male was stabbed four times about the face and body. Upon arrival they were directed to the victim and immediately noticed that he in fact had been stabbed multiple times,” the department said. “He was being treated by ER staff and it was learned that the incident had occurred at the corner store at John St and Blandina St, and that an unknown male had stabbed the victim during the course of an argument.”

The investigation is ongoing by members of the Criminal Investigations Division and updates will be released as available. No suspects have been identified at this time.
