Wheaton Methodist Church Robbed, Now Police Need Your Help Identifying Suspect

WHEATON, MD – Police in Montgomery County are searching for a Hispanic male suspected of breaking into the Hughes Methodist Church in the 10700 block of Georgia Avenue on Friday, May 13, burglarizing the house of worship.

“Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police – Fourth District Investigative Section are investigating a commercial burglary that occurred at the Hughes Methodist Church in the 10700 block of Georgia Avenue on Friday, May 13, 2022,” MCPD said in a statement. “Detectives have reviewed and released surveillance photographs of the male suspect and are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying him.”

The suspect is described as a Hispanic male with facial hair and dark hair. He was wearing black shorts, a black t-shirt and black shoes. Anyone with information regarding this suspect is asked to call the Fourth District Investigative Section at 240-773-5500.
