HARRISBURG, PA – The Harrisburg Police Department is investigating a crash that occurred Friday night at around 9:45 pm on Market Street.
According to police, a bicyclist that was struck by a motor vehicle died Sunday in the hospital.
“Upon arrival officers discovered that the vehicle was traveling west on Market Street, when it attempted to make a U-turn. During the course of the vehicle making the U-turn the bicyclist, also traveling west, struck the driver side of the vehicle,” police reported. “The bicyclist traveled under the vehicle and was removed by responding Harrisburg Fire Bureau members. The bicyclist was transported to a local hospital for emergency care, where they remained in critical condition until passing away on Sunday.”
