Suspect Arrested for Armed Carjacking in Northwest, D.C

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Washington, D.C., Metropolitan Police Department has made an arrest of a suspect in connection with an Armed Carjacking that took place on Sunday afternoon at the 1700 block of Euclid Street in Northwest, D.C.

The incident occurred shortly after 4 pm when the suspect approached the victim, who was seated inside a vehicle. The suspect displayed a handgun and demanded that the victim exit the vehicle. The victim complied with the suspect. However, the suspect encountered difficulties in operating the vehicle and ultimately fled the scene, taking the victim’s belongings with them. Responding officers were able to apprehend the suspect, and a weapon was recovered during the arrest.

29-year-old Emily Cabrera, hailing from Maryland, was arrested and charged on Sunday. Cabrera faces multiple charges, including Armed Carjacking.
