NYPD Investigating Strong Armed Robbery at Castle Hill Park

NEW YORK CITY, NY – The New York City Police Department is seeking the public’s help in identifying an individual connected to a robbery.

The incident occurred on Tuesday, July 4, around 4:50 p.m. at Castle Hill Park, located at Hart Street and Castle Hill Avenue.

The 24-year-old male victim was approached by an unidentified male who requested to use his cellphone.

Upon refusal, the suspect forcibly took the phone, leading to a brief altercation. The victim was then struck multiple times in the face and head. The stolen item, an Apple iPhone 14, is valued at approximately $1,000.

The suspect is described as a male with a dark complexion, medium build, aged between 25 and 35, sporting a goatee. He was last seen in a black hat, shirt, shorts, multi-colored sneakers, and a fanny pack around his waist.
