Assault on NYPD Officer in Downtown Manhattan
NEW YORK, NY – Authorities are investigating an assault on an NYPD officer in Downtown Manhattan. The incident occurred near Ann Street and Broadway when an unidentified individual attacked the on-duty officer from behind with a closed fist around 8:35 PM. The assailant then escaped on foot.
The officer sustained minor injuries but is currently recovering. Despite ongoing efforts, no arrests have been made in connection with the assault.
