WILLIAMSPORT, PA – Last Thursday, at approximately 10:44 AM, the Lycoming Regional Police Department received reports of a shooting at 2113 Marydale Avenue in Old Lycoming Township.
Upon their arrival at 10:46 AM, officers found a 69-year-old male with a gunshot wound in the chest, located inside the front lobby of the business establishment.
The initial investigation revealed that the injured man, previously an employee of the company, had an altercation with the company’s CEO. This confrontation escalated, culminating in the CEO shooting the man. The handgun used, which legally belonged to the CEO, has been confiscated by the police.
The injured man was rushed to the UPMC Williamsport Medical Center, where he was declared dead.
Both the CEO and the victim were familiar with one another. The identification of the victim is pending, awaiting a release from the Lycoming County Coroner’s Office.
The CEO was brought to the Lycoming Regional Police Department Headquarters for questioning but was later released.
